i got to talk to one of my dearest friends tonight via facebook chat -- she finally moved back to town in OCTOBER, and i havent seen her since october 5th, at mad's birthday party. life gets hectic when you get old and have kids, huh?

Amanda: You are one of the few people that get my parenting skills. lol
Amanda: we really need each other sometimes.
tasha: i dont even know if i'd call what i have 'parenting skills'
tasha: i think a more appropriate title is 'what it takes, exactly, on this particular day, to keep me from strangling my daughter, her friends, or myself... or that random person in the grocery store who i've imagined has looked at me sideways'
Amanda: You should write a book
Amanda: a parenting book.
tasha: its worked so far, though! i think we're doing okay

also, she's invited madeline and i to go coco key water resort with her, her husband & sister for her son aidan's birthday. apparently, he had a much too big christmas & so in lieu of a big birthday party, he wants his girlfriend (madeline, obvs!) to be his birthday pal for water fun. i'm super pumped.

also, for anyone in or around town, if you have a hankering for girl scout cookies, madeline is selling them -- let me know if you want to order some. orders have to be in by the 31st of this month & will be delivered the week of february 23rd. she's trying to sell at least 150 boxes so that she can get her special girl scout tie dyed tshirt as a reward (you cant buy it in the girl scout store, or we'd skip all this cookie nonsense).. right now, we're about 46% there!

this guy here, this is my best friend. i miss him terribly & i hope that he is able to come in this weekend. we're not having thanksgiving today in the hopes that he'll be able to show up on saturday. i havent seen him since july and it hurts me so so bad. him being alive & well & out of this mess that he was in here in ky? that is what i am most thankful for this thanksgiving.

i love you guys, i hope you eat a lot of turkey for me today. im kind of lonely, so i will probably close my eyes and pretend i am at your table, okay?

madeline got a ds for her birthday. i just showed her pictochat, and we've been sending each other messages this evening. this is a good message she sent to me (the top one, not the bottom one.) i'm going to assume you can't read either of them, so:

the top says 'You are special to me'.. and the bottom says 'Mama is silly'

ive been walking around in the rain crying today. i feel so alone, so lonely. i dont think ill ever be happy with another person. im going to be alone forever. some crazy 90 year old cat person who talks to cameron on the internet until bedtime at 8pm.
