coco key & cookie-kies.
Jan. 13th, 2009 11:20 pmi got to talk to one of my dearest friends tonight via facebook chat -- she finally moved back to town in OCTOBER, and i havent seen her since october 5th, at mad's birthday party. life gets hectic when you get old and have kids, huh?
Amanda: You are one of the few people that get my parenting skills. lol
Amanda: we really need each other sometimes.
tasha: i dont even know if i'd call what i have 'parenting skills'
tasha: i think a more appropriate title is 'what it takes, exactly, on this particular day, to keep me from strangling my daughter, her friends, or myself... or that random person in the grocery store who i've imagined has looked at me sideways'
Amanda: You should write a book
Amanda: a parenting book.
tasha: its worked so far, though! i think we're doing okay
Amanda: it would be fantastic
tasha: How Not to Kill Your Child (Just For Today)
tasha: that'll be my working title
also, she's invited madeline and i to go coco key water resort with her, her husband & sister for her son aidan's birthday. apparently, he had a much too big christmas & so in lieu of a big birthday party, he wants his girlfriend (madeline, obvs!) to be his birthday pal for water fun. i'm super pumped.
here are a couple of pictures of the lovebirds, they'll probably be in the wedding invitations in 20 years:
the proposal:

ahh young love:

srsly i could devour them:

also, for anyone in or around town, if you have a hankering for girl scout cookies, madeline is selling them -- let me know if you want to order some. orders have to be in by the 31st of this month & will be delivered the week of february 23rd. she's trying to sell at least 150 boxes so that she can get her special girl scout tie dyed tshirt as a reward (you cant buy it in the girl scout store, or we'd skip all this cookie nonsense).. right now, we're about 46% there!
